Who is Education San Joaquin?
Education San Joaquin is an issue advocacy non-profit, founded by a group of civically engaged community members and leaders from around Stockton and San Joaquin County focused on improving education outcomes for students.
We are lifelong San Joaquin County residents, parents, current students, former students, youth advocates, business owners, educators, and friends, all connected by the passion for improving student learning.
We believe that elected and appointed leaders play a critical role in a functioning school system, and improving education opportunities in Stockton is essential for the future of our region.
Mission and Goals
Our mission is to educate voters about key issues in education and empower them to bring change and improvement to their local schools.
We do this by:
Providing training to community members, youth, and parents on how to organize and engage fellow community members
Providing information about education issues to those we engage with through trainings, and;
Helping to lift up and identify individuals with leadership potential and a passion for improving K-12 education in the Stockton community.
